What can you do?

Is there anything you really can't do?

Do you wish you were stronger, or better at playing a musical instrument? Maybe you wish you were able to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

There are people who wish they could make a difference in our world today.

Then are the ones who are making a difference.

What separates these two groups?

It's simple, one group is focused on what they can't do and the other group is doing what they can.

Just as a weightlifter trains incrementally and doesn't set their mind on what they can't do, and a musician doesn't stop playing when they hit a wrong note they continue practicing to get it right.

More often than not the thing standing between you and what you want to do is your mindset.

“Don't let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.” – John R. Wooden

You might want to help stop the spread of COVID-19, and think if you're not a front line healthcare worker what can you do?

You could set your mind on what you can't do and continue living in a state of fear or foolishly living life as though nothing in the world has changed. Alternatively, you can make use of physical distancing tools to help with your part in slowing the spread, and encourage and educate your friends and family to properly do the same. Because the sooner we all do our part the sooner we can all get back to whatever the new normal is.
